Olympia Mall Set for the 2nd Phase in 2021

Cambodia’s leading developer Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) will expand its Olympia Mall in Khan 7 Makara in 2021.

Cambodia’s leading developer Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) will expand its Olympia Mall in Khan 7 Makara in 2021. Following the success of the launch of the first phase in June 2019,  the second phase will bring the total floor area to 12,000 square meters per floor or about 84,000 square meters across all 7 floors. With the second phase coming online, the Olympia Mall will have around 250 units of leasing space, compared to its current capacity of 100 units.

The construction of the second phase is scheduled to be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2021 and will open in the 4th quarter of 2021. The company expects that, upon completion, the mall can attract between 40,000 to 50,000 people daily while currently it can attract around 20,000 visitors daily. The company will focus on food and beverage (F&B), popular local and international brands of handbags, jewellery and cosmetic products that will attract both middle and high-end customers. The mall will be assembled more attractively with the creation of new designs that have yet to be seen in Cambodia and the quality of service will be improved by a Taiwanese management who has successful experiences in Taiwan.

When the second phase is open, the Olympia Mall will have a family theatre, a beautiful open space, a swimming pool overlooking the National Olympic Stadium, a gym, a playground, a garden, a glass bridge and more designed facilities. Surrounded by a 53-storey building, 38-storey hotel, and residential buildings, the Olympia Mall will become one of the prime locations in Phnom Penh connected to the Cambodia’s first skybridge for pedestrian crossing to the mall.
