November 2025, Phnom Penh, Cambodia — Three of Cambodia’s largest conglomerates, Royal Group of Companies, Chip Mong Land, and Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), have come together to support Rise for Khmer, a major cultural concert taking place on 1 December 2025 in Paris. The event, hosted at Salle Pleyel, one of France’s most prestigious concert halls, provides an international platform for Cambodian music and creative expression.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference attended by Mao Chanman (President of the Khmer Artists Association), Manu Rajan (Group Brand Officer of Royal Group of Companies), Eung Vireak (Shareholder of Chip Mong Land), Thierry Tea (Vice President of OCIC), Laura Mam (CEO of Baramey Productions), and Dara Thong (Producer for Sabay Event Productions).
The upcoming concert represents a landmark cultural moment, the first major full-scale Cambodian music performance in Europe since the Royal Ballet tour of the 1990s. Growing traction for Cambodian music has re-emerged through key moments such as VannDa’s standout performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony. Rise for Khmer marks a dedicated showcase of Khmer artists performing together on an international stage, a moment of renewed cultural presence, confidence, and identity.
The stage will feature Baramey Production artists VannDa, Suzana Reth, Vanthan, Norith, and YUUHAI, each representing a rising wave of modern Cambodian creativity.
