October 2025, Phnom Penh — Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) and Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT) have signed a lease agreement to establish KIT’s first campus in Phnom Penh at Elite Cove, a mixed-use district in Koh Pich. The agreement was signed by Mr. Thierry Tea, Vice President of OCIC, and Oknha Kiran Kumar Reddy Churukanti, Chairman of Kirirom Institute of Technology.

The initiative aims to bring high-quality technology education closer to students and professionals in the center of Phnom Penh, fostering opportunities for practical learning and career development in a rapidly evolving economy.

Kirirom Institute of Technology, now led by Oknha Kiran Kumar Reddy Churukanti, offers a project-based learning model inspired by Silicon Valley. With over 300 students currently enrolled, KIT provides programs in Software Engineering, UX/UI Design, and Data Science, combining academic study with practical, real-world experience.

Together, we hope to build pathways for young Cambodians to grow and contribute to the country’s digital future,” said Mr. Thierry Tea, Vice President of OCIC.

The Koh Pich campus is expected to open for its first intake in November 2025, supporting KIT’s continued growth and commitment to expanding access to technology education in Cambodia.

Located within Koh Pich, Elite Cove is part of OCIC’s broader plan to cultivate a community that connects business, learning, and urban living. The area also provides access to startup and innovation hubs such as Connexion and Aquation, offering opportunities for collaboration, research, and entrepreneurship.

As Koh Pich grows into one of Phnom Penh’s emerging centers for education and innovation, KIT joins a growing network of institutions such as De Montfort University Cambodia, DICHI Academy, and Above and Beyond Academy, as well as international schools including the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, École Française Internationale, and Business School of Accountancy.
