Phnom Penh, 2025 — Rabbit School, a Cambodian non-governmental organization that provides education to children with intellectual disabilities and autism, is receiving support from Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation(OCIC Group) and its affiliated company, Koh Pich Construction Company (KPCC),to expand its main campus in Phnom Penh, allowing more children to benefit from the NGO’s inclusive education programs.

The partnership was formalized by Mrs. Sor Sothearom, Executive Director of Rabbit School, and Mr. Chin Hok, General Manager of KPCC, who signed the agreement at a ceremony hosted on campus. As a meaningful gesture of support, OCIC donated Golden Daun Keo rice to disadvantaged families of Rabbit School students.
"Meaningful progress happens when we work together. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to give children with disabilities the support they deserve, and to ensure their families feel included in the growth of our city," said Mr. Chin Hok, General Manager of KPCC.

Rabbit School’s main campus, located within Toul Kork Primary School, is currently operating at full capacity, serving 230 students and maintaining a waiting list of more than 250 children. To meet this urgent need, the school plans to extend its existing facility by building a new infrastructure, with two additional floors and 15 new classrooms. This expansion will create space for an additional 91 students each year, offering more children the chance to learn in a safe and supportive environment.
OCIC Group is funding the design and planning phase of the expansion, while KPCC is providing technical and architectural expertise to ensure the project meets the school’s needs. Their combined support will facilitate timely construction and help Rabbit School continue its vital work promoting inclusive education and supporting children with intellectual disabilities in Cambodia.

"Too many children with special needs in Cambodia are still waiting for the opportunity to learn," said Mrs. Sor Sothearom, Executive Director of Rabbit School. "In Phnom Penh alone, over 250 are on our waiting list for a place at school. Every day they spend out of school sets them further behind and limits their chance to lead an independent, self-reliant life. Thanks to OCIC and KPCC, we’re one step closer to changing that."
This project marks just the beginning of the collaboration. OCIC has expressed its intention to explore additional ways to support the school’s work in the long term, including opportunities for students to gain employment and practical experience within the group’s various projects in the future.
