[Koh Pich, Cambodia, 04 July 2024] – Koh Pich, Phnom Penh -The American Chamber of commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) welcomed OCIC as its newest member. Joining AmCham aligns with OCIC's goal to develop more business ties with American businesses.

The President of AmCham Cambodia and Founder of CamEd Business School, Casey Barnett, officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside OCIC Vice President, Thierry Tea. This event, held at Connexion, underscored the collaboration and shared vision between AmCham Cambodia and OCIC Group.

Casey Barnett remarked, "I have been in Cambodia since 1989, when Koh Pich was home to only 2-3 families. When it rained, the water submerged the island. Today, it has transformed into a dynamic business centre with green spaces where people can jog. As an American working in Phnom Penh, I personally have been able to enjoy this change in lifestyle. We are eager to take this opportunity to grow more collaborations between American companies and the OCIC Group."

In addition to OCIC, its group of companies, including the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, Intercare Hospital, Connexion, and Dara Hotels Group, are also active individual members of AmCham Cambodia. Thierry Tea, Vice President at OCIC, and a Harvard Business School Alumni stated, “AmCham Cambodia is a highly valuable and quality business network. Today, OCIC Group has more than 20 American employees. We have increased business relations with US companies and are excited to have more opportunities for collaborations with North American entities. Partnering with some of the largest companies in the world pushes us to deliver better services and create more opportunities for our customers.”

OCIC Group is already engaged with multiple American businesses or brands such as Google, Starbucks, Otis, Caterpillar, GE, Dairy Queen, Auntie Anne, Krispy Kreme, CBRE, ERA, EFG, Little Caesar, Pfizer or RMA. Some of OCIC developments that include American expertise are the upcoming waterfront condominium Diamond Bay Garden, Techo International Airport, and the Olympia Mall.
