Since its inception in 2012, the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh has been committed to providing world-renowned education to the leaders of tomorrow. Over the years the community flourished from a small schoolhouse of 11 pupils to a three-campus school serving students from more than 30 countries. Guided by their mission and the PISA-recognized Alberta Education curriculum from Canada, CIS offers a safe, diverse environment that reinforces inquiry-based learning experiences that nurture the Whole Child. In addition to STEM and arts-focused programs, CIS is home to the certified French and Mandarin bilingual programs that gives students authentic exposure to the target language. The school is also an International Baccalaureate (IBO) World School and offers the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) from Grade 11. Students who receive Canadian high school diplomas are accepted into more than 200 universities around the world.
With the recent expansion of our Koh Pich campus, our facilities include a state-of-the-art library and green room, blackbox theatre, sports complex, swimming pool, makerspace, learning and butterfly gardens and a fresh-grass soccer pitch.
