Phnom Penh: In helping to solve difficulty of students in rural area and fostering a culture of sharing and helping those in needs, on January 11, 2019 the Mega Asset Management Co.,Ltd (MAM) brought study materials for donation to students in a rural primary school at Kompot Province. 

Particularly, Mega Asset Management Co.,Ltd in the charity event called “MAM Let Kids Chase Dreams” brought study material donation to approximately 230 students at Kor Chen Lan Primary School located in Kor Chen Lan Village, Tmey Commune, Toek Chhu District, Kompot Province. The school is having many difficulties and stay around 13 kilometers away from Kompot provincial town. 

There were around 100 staff participated in the donation giving day and MAM representative not only encouraged all students to study hard to achieve their dream in the future, but also mentioned the kids are bamboos shoot grow into bamboos who will become the important human resource for the nation in the future.  

The representative of Mega Asset Management Co., Ltd said that the charity event called “MAM Let Kids Chase Dreams” is run in order to participate in community work and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Also, this charity event is purposed to foster a culture of sharing and helping those in needs as well as to be part in social charity work.

The donating materials for students include 1 backpack, writing books, pencil, rubber, pen, ruler, white board, story book, and water bottle. There were also 4 clean water filters and 2 cabinets for the school. The outstanding grade 6 up to grade 7 students also received 10 bicycles. The company also gave working bags and some materials to 4 teachers at there. 

Besides donating activities for the students and the school, MAM representative offered some money and food to monks and grandmas at Kor Chen Lan pagoda as well. This activity was purposed to be part in fostering our national glorious religion, Buddhist, and to follow Buddhist advice teaches about the income should divide into 4: save for parents, save for children, save for own self, and save for contribution. Therefore, we heartedly adhere to Buddhist excellent advice and words. 

At the end of the event, MAM representative, staff, students, teachers, and locals respected the national anthem and took photos together. MAM representative stated to the students that they are the most potential and important resource for Cambodian people, so they need to study hard to have knowledge while MAM is also looking for more candidates which they could be the company staff in the future.
